MilliporeSigma Curiosity Lab - Adventures in Water Filtration

MilliporeSigma Curiosity Lab - Adventures in Water Filtration In-Person

Water, water everywhere, but can you actually drink it safely?   How much of the water on Earth is potable?  How can you use engineering to clean dirty water?

In this activity with REAL scientists from MilliporeSigma, you'll learn that of all of the water on Earth, only a very small percentage is potable, or safe for drinking. What to do? Design a water filter using the engineering design process, of course, and you can do it!  After creating a prototype of your own design, you will test your filter by pouring dirty water through it and see how clean it actually is. Learn about the physical properties of matter and how water filtration is used by scientists and individuals.
