A Fifty-Year Retrospective of Wilderness Canoeing - Marge and Carl Shepardson In-Person

In May of 1980, Marge and Carl Shepardson launched their canoe on the Minnewawa Brook and set out for Alaska. Over the course of the next three summers they paddled and portaged across the continent and made it to their intended destination. And that was just one of hundreds of wilderness canoe trips that they've been on in the past 50 years. Join us to hear stories of bears and Arctic rapids, to see pictures of stunning wild landscapes, or to get some tips for your own canoe adventures!

Marge and Carl are the authors of The Family Canoe Trip: A unique approach to family canoeing... They still live here in Marlborough.
